As the title says. Thought it might be interesting to share a few :good
These are some standout memories for me, they're all quite recent because it's only the last 4 or 5 years I've been following boxing properly.
3. Bernard Dunne vs Ricardo Cordoba - 21st May, 2009
You know you're hooked on boxing when you spend your Saturday night glued to watching a crappy stream from RTE on your laptop. For this fight is was more than worth it. An absolute war with one of the best atmospheres I've ever heard. Here's the full fight if you somehow haven't seen it:
2. Miguel Cotto vs Antonio Margarito - 26th July, 2008
Being a British fan of boxing can be difficult at times, with some of the best fights from the States happening in the early hours over here. Sometimes it can be hard to stay awake til gone 4am to catch the fights live. Not when you get warriors like these two going at it. Staying up to watch this on Setanta, I couldn't sleep until the next afternoon such was the excitement of this fight. Even though I'm big fan of Miguel Cotto, I had nothing but respect for Margarito after this performance, it was legendary. Sadly the controversy with the handwraps takes the shine off a terrific fight, but for me it's still one of my favourite memories of watching this sport.
1. Carl Froch vs Lucian Bute - 26th May, 2012
The first (and so far only) big boxing event I've been to (not counting a few local small hall shows) and what an event it was! Nottingham was great, the weather was perfect, meeting up with @Markyboy @LP and @Vano-irons was great, going ringside to meet the likes of Amir Khan, Mikkel Kessler, Darren Barker and Kell Brook then sitting right next to David Haye during the fight was amazing (celebrating with him when Froch was even more unbelievable!). Froch's performance wasn't too bad either.
You don't have to do it how I've done it with a top 3 or including videos, specific fights etc but yeah.. get sharing some of your favourite boxing memories :good
