Ye if HBO for example started using them that would be a major coup and they'd become the new standard imo. They have a lot of writers helping out dont they? If they could get all the big non-The Ring publications to use them that would be massiveYeah they're far better than the Ring's. Was hoping they'd catch on a bit, when they were starting there were a lot of big names they were trying to get involved but I don't know how many they got, was talk of them trying to get their rankings used by major TV companies. They've got a very good team compiling them.
As with any rankings there's always going to be things you'll disagree on but on the whole they're class. The whole point behind it was to create a rankings board independent of corruption and outside influence. Basically what the Ring rankings set out to be/were but aren't anymore.
It was on Friday Night Fights. Brian Vera's fight just over a month ago I think.Teddy is the man.
When's that from?
@USARobI hold them as official, easily the best on the web.
The Ring's are fucking shit.
I think I know this guy.@USARob
:rofl every timeI think they're fantastic.
Y'know, making rankings is a lot like using the jab. It's all about placement. If you're not placing the fighters right, placing the jab right, then you're not gonna win the fight.
It's a lot like eating greens. You gotta eat them greens to get big and strong, you gotta use that jab and right now the Transitional Boxing Rankings have ate so many greens they look like the Incredible Hulk. And you WOULDN'T wanna get a jab off him.

I think it's fair enough not having him champ for that reason. It's no good changing the rules because they're brothers and letting them share a division. When you start making exceptions for things like that is when you start diluting the quality of the rankings.Theyre doing well so far, i wonder why they dont count wlad as the heavyweight champ?
Edit: i guess its because he hasnt beaten the number two in their rankings but i think in this case that might be the wrong approach seeming as though the number two contender is his older brother
 brilliantI think they're fantastic.

But it's quite clear in this example that wlad is the true champ at heavyweight and this is an exceptional circumstance where blood relation gets in the way of a fight between the two best and would it dilute the rankings? Theres no other cases in the sport today where the same could applyI think it's fair enough not having him champ for that reason. Pretty much this. They've set their criteria and are sticking by it, unlike the RING where double-standards are commonplace. They refused to relieve Pacquiao of his #1 standing after the general public cried robbery in the third Marquez fight, but, the RING said they had to go with the judge's decision.I think it's fair enough not having him champ for that reason. Charlo brothers in a few years. :dealBut it's quite clear in this example that wlad is the true champ at heavyweight and this is an exceptional circumstance where blood relation gets in the way of a fight between the two best and would it dilute the rankings? I agree that Wlad is clearly the champ but Orriray has got it bang on. They've got their rules/criteria and they can't deviate against them. But it's quite clear in this example that wlad is the true champ at heavyweight and this is an exceptional circumstance where blood relation gets in the way of a fight between the two best and would it dilute the rankings?
