Hatton-Floyd/Cotto-Pacquiao

It may sound stupid but the anticipation and intros of a fight make a big difference for me. Always hypes me up when they go down the weight accomplishments of a HOF bound fighter. As long as the fight delivers, it comes across as just as exciting as two lesser known guys with an amazing fight for me.

Really hard to narrow it down to be honest.

One of my favourites is the second Marquez/Pacquiao fight, involving a British fighter I'd probably say Froch/Taylor, despite it not being of the absolute highest quality.

Going back a bit further, Leonard/Hearns, and the first Holyfield/Tyson battle.

Márquez vs Díaz I - I absolutely love that fight. I wasn't a boxing fan when this fight took place, so I only watched it a couple of years ago on YouTube but it was brilliant. I think that I scored all the even rounds to Márquez and the odd rounds to Díaz, the momentum changed so much. And then Márquez cuts Díaz and gets the KO with a technically beautiful finish in the 9th.

In a weird way I think this fight is somehow underrated. I know it's always mentioned as a modern classic anyways, but yeah, I think it's even better than it's often credited with.

As far as the thread question, I honestly couldn't narrow it down. Not only does it change routinely, but there's like different sections when it comes to my favourite fights, be it for excitement, technical brilliance or just someone I'm a massive fan of winning. I'm guessing Dunne-Cordoba will always be the best fight I've actually been at live, other than that I have no real definite favourites. Or I do, but there's way too many to list.

It's think the fight would receive higher billing if Diaz had either been unbeaten, or suffered his defeat early in his career.

You'd have had the linear claimant vs the undisputed alphabet claimant.... it had everything else - young vs old, really good styles matchup too.

It's a shame that Diaz was pretty much fucked after that, though I suppose it's not surprising, considering he's a bright lad with interests outside boxing. There's not so much motivation to go to the well to become #2 in the world in your weight class I wouldn't imagine.

The best fight I have seen on TV is a pick'em between Hagler/Hearns and Pryor/ArguelloI. With a little black bottle to my head, I would just give Hagler/Hearns the edge.

The best fight I have ever been to, is also close. Eubank/WatsonII was a glorious fight until the end; Andries/HardingIII is often overlooked, it was brutal; but the one that sticks out, was the night the young unbeaten KO artist Nigel Benn, almost got flattened by an unknown Jamaican. It was epic, but to this day I still think if the fight had been anywhere outside the UK, the ref would of stopped the slaughter in Logan's favour.
