Burns/Rees wouldn't happen cuz of the Warren/Hearn rivalry at the moment. I don't wanna see that fight anyway. Burns has definitely proved he's above domestic level now.

It won't happen but I'd love to see Ricky out in America next with a view to taking on Broner, DeMarco, Vazquez.. someone like that early next year.

I want to see Burns go to America too.

Obviously he'll never get a Marquez fight but there's still Rios (who he'd dominate) and a few others in the 135-140 classes.

Not wanting to go overboard because he beat WPM, but he just looked the dogs in there tonight.

He deserves the chance to try and emulate the likes of Buchanan and Watt, IMO. No point keeping him occupied with domestic matchups. He's gone and laid waste to Mitchell, who many predicted to get rid of him.

After tonight, I think he beats everyone at 135. Get him to the US ASAP. He's good enough to beat Broner and DeMarco

Hope you enjoyed yourself mate. Hope the Glasgow crowd and chants didn't upset you too much.
I've really enjoyed myself this weekend. Was out with Marky who posts on here, and the hospitality shown by him and his friends was second to none. But last night was very intimidating. Grown men falling over the place, pissing on the floor and in the sink. That was at 8 o'clock. I always knew Mitchell would be in the lion's den, but I didn't expect the crowd to be abusing him even after he was KO'ed and him and Ricky were having a cuddle.

Top weekend away in a visitor friendly city. But too many 'boxers' in the crowd

Vano, sounds like my trip to Upton Park!

That's awful and a large part of why I don't go to these events. Glasgow has a lot of scum in it. Shame really, it's a great city otherwise.

Even gigs in Glasgow are full of utter knobs.

Glad you had a great time mate.

My dad pointed out to me that at boxing matches in glasgow, the people in suits are drug dealers, the old people are the boxing fans and everyone else is just supporting the local boy. There were several notable drug dealers roaming around there too.

Yeah. Upton Park was a bit of a war zone that night. I think even Rob got a smack. It's fucking embarrassing mate
What section where you in Block J was kicking off big time.

I was embarrassed by some of the knob heads and I paid for the dearer seats. I think a lot of the football crowd following him now and they are selling tickets to any fucker who will buy them. Been to a few of these fights in Glasgow now and its always the same.
I was in block A. I see two guys hit someone from behind before stamping on his head. The fella was unconscious while the medics worked on him for about 10 minutes. That was right before Harrison ended.

It's a shame tho. I thought the majority of Glaswegians I met this weekend were very friendly and up for a laugh

depending on where abouts you are, Glasgow is great. A lot of these people will have came from the rougher areas to see the fight. A nice place to visit if you stay away from the towns.

He's proved he's far beyond domestic level, deserves unification bouts for big money. I'd like to see him fight broner in the states after broner beats demarco, I think ricky is good enough to beat him on a wide points decision.

Genuinely gutted that I didn't get to meet up with Marky and @Vano-irons, but a combination of money woes and health problems meant it wouldn't have been possible. Hopefully next time!

As for Burns? Best I can see is the WBO eventually making a Warren fighter face a mandatory challenger and we get a fight against someone like Bogere or Thompson. I expect him to fight Scott Harrison next year. I'd like to see him take on Miguel Vazquez in a unification fight at some point next year. Think that'd be a close one.
