He was in talks to fight RJJ last year, but thankfully it fell through. The last I heard he didn't particularly fancy going to Germany, despite it being the hub of the division. Nor did he really fancy going to Russia to face Lebedev. I'm not sure if he thought beating Tarver would mean the big fights in the division would happen in the States, or if it's Shaw not being able to come to an agreement with Sauerland.

It's more to do with the fact he's not promoted by GBP. They weren't impressed with his performance against Tarver, so don't want to use him again. GBP seem to more or less have exclusivity with Showtime, so unless HBO suddenly become interested in a division with almost no North American based top fighters he's going to have to travel.

New guy here...

Trashing Showtime in his post-fight interview pretty much derailed his career. Wasn't the brightest move on his part :gsg

What was the last Cruiserweight fight on HBO? Jirov-Toney? Anyway would love to see Kayode in against Huck, Lebedev or Chakhkiev.

Those would be great. I'd like to see him against Afolabi. I'm a massive Ola fan and the whole Nigerian thing would be great.
