For me its-

Brook , Mitchell and Price. I really dont see what any of them have proved yet to be lauded so highly. Price only just about makes this list as he clearly has all the tools but has not fought at anywhere near a high enough level yet :bbb

Degale turning pro. He might still make it but he looked to me like he suited the ams and had a lot of work to do to adapt to the pros. Not the sure thing some people seemed to think, he didn't seem the best listener either which isn't a good foundation to learn on.

Eubank jnr being talked of as a future world champ after dispatching his first pro opponent who was a glorified punching bag.

Carl Froch, bar his win over Bute which after his recent fight is only showing how overrated i & a few others thought of him. Losses to Kessler, Ward & Dirrell his wins are over fighters we thought was good but never was.

Devon Alexander - much of his hype was built on a highlight reel knockout of Urango and because he made a shot Witter quit. Lost just about every round v Kotelnyk, got smashed up of Matthysee and lost most rounds and lost near enough every round v Bradley before quitting himself. Despite this some people still believe he can be an elite Mayweather like fighter. Those people are deluded.

Personally i cant see how the Dirrell fight can be held against him, hardly a massive injustice, but you cant use hindsight to judge fighters, if he overturned the odds and won he did that, cant say well they were shit. Wins over Pascal, Taylor, Abraham, Johnson and Bute (who was some peoples no1 in the division) tell me hes not overrated, he may not be the best in the division, but noones saying he is, id pick him to stop kessler in a rematch

i like and rate brook, but my god the sky hype is doing its best to put me off him, its so fucking annoying, they talk about him like he'd beat duran, hes a good fighter, future world champ material, but jesus christ the act like hes a monster puncher when he isnt, hes got lots of good attributes at world level, one punch ko power isnt one im afraid

Hmm, if you had've made this thread before the weekend I could've gone on one of my default Anselmo Moreno rants, don't think that'll cut the mustard now.:yep

I don't really know other than that though. There were a few fighters like Martinez, Golovkin, Froch and a few others who I didn't quite rate as highly as everyone else but I don't think my opinion on them varies that much from the norm that they would really fit here. I suppose Gabriel Campillo could be one, I mean I rate him as quite a good fighter and all that malarkey, but I think the fact he's been on the receiving end of some unfortunate(to say the least) decisions has aided him at times. Regardless of the decisions, if he was that good I doubt he'd have had such difficulty with your Murat's, Shumenov's and Lolenga Mock's nahmsayin'.

I ain't never picking G-Brones in one of these threads though. JAB & BARK BABY.

Rios, when he fought Anthony Peterson i think he was the underdog, since that win there is talk of him facing all types of people, he's tough and can have tear up for me that's where it ends as Abril showed. I know Robert Garcia is his trainer but he carries on like he's unbeatable.

Pretty much any American that gets to 20-0 with more than ten knockouts.

Broner at the minute for sure, primarily because the Flomos have latched onto him.

In terms of British fighters, probably the ones that have the most noteworthy amateur careers, even years down the line people say ''he was a top amateur, so....'', when in truth the two disciplines have much less in common than the two codes of rugby, for instance.

Amir Khan, he's a simple berk that flaps his hands and runs round a ring and still gets major media coverage, he should be banished from public view so he can dwindle off into the wilderness never to be seen or heard of again.
