No man is unbeatable, but so far he's proved a difficult puzzle to solve. A lot of people people think a high workrate, pumping out the jab and not getting disheartened if he starts picking you off in the middle rounds key to seeing out a win, but who can do that well enough? Or is there another way of beating him and who do you see doing that and how?

Are we now looking at a new generation of fighters coming up for someone to beat him? Guerrero? Alvarez? Trout? Or Thurman down the line?

do you think Mayweather could move up to 160 to challenge Martinez? A win really would mean a lot to his legacy, where Martinez coming down to LMW makes a Mayweather win less impressive. I would fancy Martinez to win at 160 though, but his jab can sometimes be a bit lazy, doesn't get it back up quick enough which could be dangerous

I think Martinez at LMW or MW would beat him, not sure about anyone else. I know mayweather beat marquez but he had to jump up in weight and mayweather weighed in over anyway, say he beats pacquiao would he stand much of a chance? I dunno

I don't think Mayweather would stop Martinez at 160 and I think he'd need to step up to make the win worthwile, like you say, Martinez coming down take sthe shine off a win somewhat. That's not really Mayweathers fault though, there's just a distinct lack of quality opposition right now. Trout impressed me enough the other night to think he'd cause Mayweather problems, not necessarily beat him and certainly not now, but perhaps cause an upset down the line..

I think age is all that stops Mayweather. Against Martinez I think he'd be too mobile, accurate and slick, he'd move his way to a comfortable points win in my view. He's one of those fighters who seems to find a way to win, I can't see him losing now when I look at the potential opponents.

He'd beat Martinez at any weight IMO. A win over Sergio at middleweight would give Floyd a solid argument for being one of the best ever.
Perhaps but it wouldn't happen. Mayweather would be too rusty and he'd get starched. And I'd laugh. Alot.

The weight's too much of an issue with Martinez. Martinez goes down and he's drained so as has been said it means less. Mayweather is no way going to go up to middleweight to fight him.

I'd go with Trout as the toughest for him at the moment, he's got a style that, coupled with his big size advantage, would really give Mayweather some problems.

I think age is all that stops Mayweather.
Aye, he's already got that excuse now if he loses. What is he? 34?

Just checked, he'll be 36 in 2 months.

I think Canelo in maybe 2 years could outhustle him with the help of judges in a passing of the megastar torch oscar-floyd style fight. Sergio has a chance of knocking him at middle but I think Floyd's straight shots would win the day there if sergio has to be the come forward man in that fight.

Actually I think brook would trouble him in 2 or 3 years time as well. The jab, speed and size against an aging floyd would be interesting.

I know I'm going to get jumped on for this (not that I care) but excluding moving up to middleweight I still think Pacquaio has the best chance of beating him (even though he has took a step back), I'd still favour Mayweather but everyone just likes to look at the fact Pacquaio has struggled with boxers and not the fact that Mayweather struggles with high tempo accumulation punchers.

I think Pacquaio would pose a lot of problems for Mayweather still, if Ortiz can get inside then pacquaio will as well and Mayweather wouldn't be able to control his unpredictable punching style as much as he likes to with other boxers. I don't think he would necessarily have the power in his punches to KO Pacquaio although he could get his respect and I think Pacquaio could hurt Mayweather if he can get his shots of on time. I think it could play out similar to the Judah fight but with closer rounds whereby Pacquaio starts fast and then Mayweather works him out down the stretch.
