not talking about greatness, resume or anything specific.

Which guy do you think has the best skills today?

Use your own criteria and translate the word skills however you see fit, whether it be aestetically pleasing skills, textbook perfect skills, utilising physical assets skills, raw winnability skills, a combination of the above or something else entirely.

Who takes it and why?

My answer is Nonito Donaire. the guys blends defence and attack beautfully and he has 1 shot power to boot. He's willing to take a shot to land a shot but can just as easily slip, dodge and counter back. When he's on form he looks monstrous and when he's not he's in dominant cruise control. He is in his absolute physical prime which means every facet of his physicality is still at it's peak (his legs, reflexes, hand speed, movement etc).

I'm not gonna put up a poll because I'd rather read responses and reasons.

But do you think today's Floyd is still amongst the most skilled in history? his legs aren't as fluid as they once were and to compensate he has to sit on his punches and take more chances than he used to do.

Even with his decline I cant think of a fighter in the sport with a better defense, better ability to counter punch, or an just all round greater boxing brain.

For instance mosley has skills but can't use them at all so listing him up there would be ridiculous.
Hmm, I get what you're saying but think that would be more of 'who's the most effective' or 'who's the most highly skilled fighter currently in their prime'.

Nah actually, you're right or we could just start naming people like Roy Jones. My bad.

Yeah I was just about to say Ward. Floyd's legs are gone for me, and his reflexes are dwindling fast as well.

Ward seems unbeatable at the moment
