FOYBB.Why don't you mind your own business? You nosey parker.
So?Because its the capital of the country?
UK is a small country its relatively easy to get anywhere withing a couple of hours unless you live in the sticks and ride a camel and even still its not a huge problem. Wheras in the USA it can take a day/s to get to your designation so bit of a strange comparrison to be honest. So?
Should they put Mayweather-Alvarez on in DC then?
London isn't exactly next door for Burns' fans. I can't imagine too many headed down for his London fights.UK is a small country its relatively easy to get anywhere withing a couple of hours unless you live in the sticks and ride a camel and even still its not a huge problem. Yeah don't get me wrong I'm not saying he should just do cards in London. Just saying thats probably how Frank looks at it. Although I dunno I could be wrong.London isn't exactly next door for Burns' fans. I can't imagine too many headed down for his London fights.

Gavin is a decent ticket seller. Him vs Witter is another one.As for all of Frank's shows being in London, I guess they've just found it easier for now working from London. Gavin and Vassell wouldn't be massive ticket sellers anywhere, Smith/Dodson could probably do decent ticket sales in Liverpool along with Paul Butler but after that and if he's looking at putting on a fight like Chisora/Wilder, then the capital probably fits as the best place.
It is a bit weird though, especially with him sending Burns and Cleverly there a few times before.
Early last year he had "homecoming" fights for Cleverly in Cardiff against Tommy Karpency and for Ricky Burns against Paulus Moses in Glasgow. Maybe he was disappointed with the reception to those and doesn't want to go back that route again at this moment.
Sorry to be a prick, but the UK isn't a country. It's a sovereign state - and is treated as a nation state in political terms - but last time I checked it wasn't a country. England and Scotland are separate countries that form a united country; Wales is a principality and Northern Ireland is a province.UK is a small country its relatively easy to get anywhere withing a couple of hours unless you live in the sticks and ride a camel and even still its not a huge problem. I had the same feeling. Was pleased when Burns starched him.Sorry to be a prick, but the UK isn't a country. So it's still daft that Warren seemed deterred that Burns would defend on Cleverly or Groves undercards in the English capital where he's not going to be a ticket seller, rather than in Glasgow where he can; one would almost suspect Warren wanted Mitchell to win last year too....
It can still be classed as a country. It's not incorrect to call the UK a country.Sorry to be a prick, but the UK isn't a country. That's why I mentioned that it can be treated as a nation state in political terms. In short it's not a country but can be treated as such.It can still be classed as a country. It's not incorrect to call the UK a country.
Yeah, I thought going in that Warren was banking on Mitchell winning. He had fuck all lined up or planned for Burns after that fight. Fair enough, Warren's form has dipped in that regard in general in recent years but Burns was his only world class fighter - other than maybe Chisora; not sure if you can call him world class but he is a top heavyweight - and he had no plan for Burns after that fight.I had the same feeling.
