Wilfredo Gomez began to show signs of improvement. This morning an artificial respirator was disconnected. Gomez, who was admitted to a hospital in Hato Rey, Puerto Rico yesterday due to respiratory failure, still has a tube inserted but has been in good countenance and alert. It is expected that the hall of fame fighter's health will continue to improve in the next few hours.

I posted this in the other thread in Historic section but thought I would put it in here, he gained some weight.
