Wladimir Klitschko is now threatening to cancel the Povetkin Fight if he have to go through the Official Russian Testing Agency+American Agency instead of using the Testing Agency(Germany) that he and his brother always used.

HRYUNOV WANTS Wladimir to GO THROUGH 3 AGENCIES. That is the issue.
"Hryunov have no objections to Nada Testing, BUT he also wants Wladimir Klitschko to take blood and urine tests from RUSADA and American Testing Agencies as well.

I don't understand what Wlad's problem is, is it that it eats his cut from promotion?
I thought the German testing agencies were already random year round so it shouldn't be an issue.

According to boxingscene Hryunov wants the RUSADA + VADA to test, Wlad only wants testing by the German anti-doping agency and has rejected RUSADA testing.

The Russian anti-doping agency has been catching people recently after the world anti doping agency got on their case. Still, I can understand the Klitschko's not trusting a local agency in a place like Russia, especially with the fight being promoted by an influential local. VADA on the other hand looks pretty much unimpeachable based on their current track record.

I don't know anything about the German ADA, but I see on wiki that they're not fully funded by the government. With the Klitschko's being one of their regular customers, I can see why Hryunov wouldn't think their testing would necessarily be sufficient. The best outcome would be if they just agreed on using VADA, I quite frankly wouldn't want RUSADA testing here either if I was in Wlad's shoes.

EDIT: just checked the other place, CHEF says it will get sorted and basically that they'll do russian + german tests. From reading there, what the Klitschko's have rejected is doing only RUSADA, the offer of doing RUSADA, NADA & VADA is a new one they haven't responded to that yet. I assume that it'll all get sorted out soon enough.

He'll take the tests but after being fucked around by Hryunov and Povetkin in the past, coupled with the "rivalry" between Russians and Ukrainians, I'm not surprised he's not agreeing to Hryunov's terms straight away.

Yeah I don't blame Wlad for this. The fight will still happen though surely. It has to.

It's just early days in the negotiating process. Drug testing isn't an issue for Wlad so I won't be surprised if at some point he "concedes" this point on the condition that Hryunov and Povetkin make concessions of their own.

Not really. Wlad's still the champ and will still call most of the shots, so ne ne!

If Hryunov and Povetkin actually want the fight this time it will happen. Wlad doesn't have a problem with drug testing, but they've had other issues in the past; this is negotiation. Don't think Wlad will keep the hard ball stance on this for too long as he'll be wary of being seen as having something to hide. And despite not having tattoos he won't hide behind a fear of needles. :yep

Aint Vitali an admitted steroid user. It really wouldn't surprise me if they were on something, I think every top boxer is, not necessarily roids but pain blockers etc

Some of the Russian coaches had been trying to convince Wladimir to cut down to compete at heavyweight but after Vitali was disqualified he took his place at super heavyweight.

People are warning Wladimir, not to go to Moscow/Russia because of corruption or deceptive practices. But now, when Hrunov wants the Russian testing, everybody screams "Wlad is a cheat".
I can understand the situation as very suspicious, but think about the whole safety/russia/corruption thing. Just think about that aspect.
