Thompson was injured in the first, and his shoes weren't right. Compare this to Pacman VS Morales I and II if you will. Almost the same with the socks and the blood testing and whatnot. Interestingly, Klitschko/Thompson I was eerily similar to Pac/Erik I. I got the chance to watch Thompson live at the gym, training for this bout. At one point, he put a glove on his bell-end and sparred a Javan Rhino with it. That Rhino is now deceased. An autopsy was done (thanks to PETA) and the veterinary pathologist concluded it was a giraffe that died of TB. If that doesn't scare the piss out of Volo supporters, I simply don't know what will. Thompson KO10, in my humble opinion.

I'm not sure this one can better the thriller they had last time out, a real scintillating fight of the ages. The second has a big task to stand up to that classic but I think Thompson can take it to set up the greatest trilogy in heavyweight boxing history.

I actually think Thompson has a chance here. Wlad has clearly slowed, his jab isn't effective any more, and he was being dominated by Mormeck before he pulled the stoppage out. Very interesting fight, but I think Tony nicks it on points...kinda

They cut out the part where Manny Steward said "I'm going to count to ten, aloud, and I want you to act like you are a little stoned, want to take a nap, and are mildly disinterested, until I make it to ten. At ten, walk away. That's what German youth get excited about. Cold, mild disinterest, followed by nothingness."
