Booth has got it right with Groves, and almost everytime with Haye. Haye may not come back.

Khan may be looking for a new direction to rebuild and could get the 1-2-1 attention from Booth

Khan would still have his independance

If Khan has been exposed to one of the best trainers in recent boxing history and surrounded by some of the best fighters around at the moment and is STILL making the same mistakes because they are his natrual way of fighting then I'm not sure that Adam Booth, as good as he is, can get him to change or improve.

Initially I wouldn't have said he was, TDO is pretty one-dimensional in his approach.

The more I think about it, the tap and run approach is more suited to Amir's flaws, the problem is when he starts standing his ground and gunslinging with the right hands.

If Khan stuck to the one-two, with the left to the body mixed in here and there and skipping out of range he'd be fine.

It's when he tries fighting like Pacquiao that he runs into bother and unravels, either by getting sparked or fouling/pushing/rabbit punching etc.

Khan needs a trainer and a strategist that will work with his strengths, he's not going to become a different fighter overnight. Unfortunately the reason he's great to watch is the reason he's lost 3 times. Too eager to stand his ground and trade.

I'm not sure Booth would work well, going backwards he's just inviting pressure and against a good pressure fighter or even just someone that could match his handspeed he's in trouble. Manny Steward would be a good fit in theory.
