Back then probably. Now, probably not. There's been too many injuries/deaths and advancements for people to be that critical about stoppages these days.

Except all Joe Calzaghe 'KOs'. Now there's a dubious set of stoppages.

Does that mean you think fights are stopped too quickly now, L.

One in particular come to mind?

In general I think it's alright these days. You do get a few terrible stoppages but I'd much rather have a stoppage too early than too late.

I can't link at the moment but there's a video on youtube called "Joe Calzaghe knock outs" or something similar. It had me in stitches watching it.Perfect examples of "British stoppages".

When I read that, L, instantly flashed-on the too-brave-for-his-own-good Levander Johnson being killed before my eyes by Jesus Chavez
