Yuri Romanov (or 'Ramanau' as listed on BoxRec) is down to appear on ESPN's first boxing show of 2013 (January 4), where he's scheduled to fight in an 8-rounder. No opponent has been announced yet.

After taking apart Thaxton in 2008, Romanov's activity has been very disappointing to say the least, and many thought he was done with boxing. Hopefully, he can finally get what looked like a promising career back on track.

looked absolutely class against Thaxton, but how old is he now? And will he be able to be anywhere near the fighter he was before with the amount of inactivity he's suffered?

Wondered what happened to him. I assumed he'd packed it in. Interested to see what he has left because he's only 30 and looked on the cusp of a title shot after dismantling Thaxton with ease, and 135 is void enough that he might be able to make a bit of noise.
