anyone catch the right hook + left upper combo in the early rounds he ripped from Floyd's Cotto(e) fight

then there were a shit load of right hooks

there was a check hook he threw to avoid the ropes in the middle rounds

the Floyd roll against the ropes later on in the fight

even that right hand feint + left upper he stopped Angulo(e) with came out of Floyd's playbook during the 2nd or 4th round of the Cotto(e) fight

It seems he was intelligent and young enough to implement the info he got when Floyd schooled him

Leon do you think Mayweather watched the fight? It was weird, in a way it was kind of like watching one of Mayweather's influence fighting. Sort of like a reverse Hopkins beaten fighter, where instead of looking shit they looked really good adapting some tricks and ability the guy who beat him. It was what I was so impressed with. That round where the crowd were going mental and he was just shoulder rolling to fuck was textbook Mayweather. I've never seen a fighter adapt like that, without looking like a shit ripoff ala Khan-Pacquiao.

Floyd seemed excited for this fight at his presser today, so I'm betting he watched it. During the buildup to The One Floyd mentioned how Saul was a fan of his style

I had my suspicions about Saul as early as the first time I saw him do a pullcounter. Then he slowly attempted the Floyd roll and finally looked good doing it in the Trout fight. Last night he borrowed some of Floyd's offense.

Always knew he was a student of the game. It's his ability to quickly add new techniques on a fight to fight basis that impresses me.

Should be jailed for copyright infringement. Maybe executed for the pull-counters and shoulder block in earlier fights. Ginger kid has no shame.
nah r&b singer Adrien can be the whipping boy for that

Saul actually looks good copying Floyd's shit

Angulo comes straight @ you. Not difficult to implement different punch sequences.

I made a point a while back about how his ability to learn from the Floyd fight could have a great impact on how he does vs Lara. He proved last night offensively he learned a great deal. Would be interesting to see what other kind of defensive measures he'd use vs a guy like Lara.

Given that Saul is a flat footed fighter without an endless pool of stamina he's wise to copy Floyd's defense
