Lomachenko vs. Lopez Winner and How?

Loma finishing strongly.
In comparison to how he started, yes. But Lopez was still in all of those rounds and Loma most certainly was not posting a second half shutout.

He didn't do anything early, so he was supposed to be fresher going down the stretch.

Had Lopez winning a close but very very clear decision. Loma took too long to get going. I wonder how those Lopez body punches felt, Loma seemed reluctant to close the distance. Once close, Lopez did not want to fight on the inside (like most guys nowadays), so easy free punches for Loma.

Congratulations to Lopez. I had it a bit more even. Would be interesting to see a return match where Loma is more active in the first rounds. He waited too long in this one. Too much respect for Lopez's power early on perhaps. Should have taken more risk to win it. Lopez didn't seem to like being put under pressure and going backwards in rounds 10-12, but nevertheless came back nicely in round 12. If not rematching Loma I hope he moves up to 140 and challenges the winner Taylor - Ramirez.

haven't seen highlights of this lopez kid until yesterday, and well what a disrespectuf piece of shit he is really, to dance like a bitch clown at the end of his fights, not cool man, hoping he gets his bitch ass knocked out lets see how he keeps dancing in the canvas... and his dad talking trash,, well guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree
:rofl

Loma should have answered Marc Kriegel's question with "Sapphire's"

You gotta take into consideration that if Loma starts more aggressive earlier, he'll be taking harder punches back too. Loma literally couldn't do shit the first six rounds because of Lopez's combo of size, speed and power. Maybe Loma is just too small for this weight class

I hope that is the official excuse out of his camp. "Take nothing away from Lopez, but my son was actually sleepy that day."
Struggle to see how Loma felt he won that. No urgency from his Dad either. Was clear he gave up the first half of the fight. Lopez literally Froch'd him. Too big, too strong!

As I said, Lomachenko is great but does not belong in any historical discussions. He should have turned pro earlier if he wanted that.

20 fight anomaly.
