Yeah it's on spike tv as well I think.

Is this one of the Cameroonians, esoomba or am I miles away.either way decent little scrap I expect.

Just looking at the schedule in the UK.sept-dec is freaking awesome.

From what I've seen of them i wouldn't be throwing edwards in with embossa anytime yet.

Not saying he couldn't win,but it's a hard match up this early on.

Has Nelson fought since that war with the Scottish kid? He looked like a TV friendly fighter to me, Hearn will probably get Essomba for Charlie Edwards.
Just the once mate, in a tune up against Ian Halsall (6 rounder) - the fight was meant to happen a month earlier but Halsall pulled out on the day. This was going to be a tune up for a bigger fight later this year - Steve Wraith (local promoter) said about a month ago he was likely to be on the next Matchroom card (which won't happen now) and if that didn't happen then he would headline a local show at Temple Park, South Shields before the end of the year defending his Commonwealth strap.

It's amazing what an injury, loss, below bar performance etc for the supposed star can do for other local fighters. Stephen Simmons was taking full advantage of Ricky Burns headlining in Glasgow and when that stopped his push stopped at the same time and he has become an away fighter. Same with the lads here - JLD was waiting around for Matchroom to come back up (it was looking like October a few months ago) but with Saunders recent injuries and actions (last fight) and even Glenn Foot's limp performance against Egg (compare that to Evans), i can't see MR being in much of a rush to come back here.

Aye, mate i know what you mean. Edwards would probably win, but it's far too risky. Tony Jeffries dad Phil has raved about this lad for a while now and has done a very good job with him.

essomba should be a bigger story than he is right now. the guy 'defects' to the u.k. in a big story in the u.k. press during the olympics barely affords his small flat in a complete different world to where he is from, and in 15 months winning the commonwealth title.

feels like more light should be shining on him right now.
