The bookies have this a pretty close match up ... 4/11 Price and 2/1 Hammer same odds in pretty much every outlet.

Outside the Teper win and Kevin Johnson there is not much to suggest Hammer should be able to trouble Price.

I'll be watching from behind the sofa as usual though!

I don't know, the ko punch he landed v big lump lief Larsen would more than trouble price.

Hammer is mediocre.no real power most of the time but is an accurate tidy boxer.that might be enough to beat price these days.its so hard to say.

These days?

Why do people talk about Price like he is a shadow of his former self?

When did he ever prove himself to be any better than he is now?

Having seen prices recent outings (including the last one where he managed to take two rounds to stop a bloke who was just waiting to go so he could make his shift at the sports direct warehouse) I dont see how anyone can suggest he is European level even. Deffo think he'll lose here but lets hope I'm talking shit. If im hammer I'll just edge forward, duck under pawing jab, detonate on fragile chin and goodnight marie

Interesting mate and fair points but Id say European WAS Daves level. For me that makes him just short of being a world contender. And I've voted for a Price win. I think Hammer has his moments but Price keeps him at bay with a left jab. Yes I know he's not particularly been that good with it previously but Ive just got that feeling well see a good hard one this time.

David Price's top 10 results:

Audley Harrison - 2012
John McDermott - 2012
Matt Skelton - 2012
Sam Sexton - 2012
Ondrej Pala - 2014
Tony Thompson II - (Lost) - 2013
Tony Thompson I - (Lost) - 2013
Tom Dallas - 2011
Raphael Butler - 2011
Osborne Machimana - 2011

This lot from years ago makes Price just short of being a world contender?

Because he is.

He lost his confidence after Thompson 1 and never regained it.

A big punching, limited heavy is still a threat if they are hugely confident as they will take risks, let their hands go and not be fearful of what's coming back.

But he has lost it.

Price was confident before Thompson I?

Price never had it.

He beat a bunch of English level opponents then got stepped up and found out.

The leap in class was too much. He was mishandled. He can still punch and if he lands on anybody they might go. Ill give you confidence seemed to be an issue even as an amateur but I wonder if he's taken any confidence in the fact he's only been done by guys who have enhanced performances. How about that for gay @tawetrent ? So you are picking Hammer? I think Price on points. But Ill be behind the sofa with @Maxsplit No ****.

He was in the changing room before Thompson 1. Maloney came in whilst he wrapping up his glovess and announced that he had his sex change appointment confirmed. Price view Frank as a father figure, but Frank said from now on he would be called Kellie and Pricey was to refer to him as Mum.
He was fucked up before the fight and lost.

Im not saying he did.

Im saying he isn't the danger he once was.
