Have you even watched the fight? I doubt it.Lomachenko has been uninspired for a while, that disinterest cost him with these judges.
Nah I scored it 8-4 for Loma actually.
I think he should retire.
Teo would lose against Floyd around 8-4 as well. Lomachenko would 12-0 Floyd you little dweeb
Don't insult Lomachenko by calling him the next Mayweather, he has always been and always will be far beyond Floyd. If you understood boxing at all you would know why.The fact Lomachenko is fighting above his optimal weight class was well documented long before this fight was even announced, it didn't prevent you and almost everyone else from predicting a comfortable victory. It's not appropriate to spend most of your time on here complaining about the size differential. It just smacks of sour grapes. Loma isn't infallible, he lost fair and square, and now you need to go find yourself another savant who is the best ever. Apparently. Because we are always on the look out for the next Mayweather, even if we need to manufacture one ourselves.
This is how desperate people were to see Lomachenko 'lose'. Now a low blow is a body shot that hurt him. Oh that's right, just how Salido landed all those body shots :lol:I think some people here don't truly appreciate what a beating Loma took in this fight. Lopez was clocking him with clean, hard punches all night long. Even when Loma had his "best" round in the 11th, he was still hurt badly by a body shot toward the end and then had nothing left for the 12th.
ESPN basically had a wank-fest every time Loma just landed with a few slapping combos.
Which 8 rounds did you 'give' to Lomachenko?Lomachenko has been uninspired for a while, that disinterest cost him with these judges.

I had to catch a replay of the fight. The fight went mostly how I expected, but Teo was bigger and more confident than I expected. It certainly wasn't a close fight though. If you could see me now you'd see how little I actually care about the decision.Nostradamus like prediction and you haven't been seen since
I'd love to know which 8 rounds he scored to Loma. I doubt he will risk the embarrassment by naming them though. He scored it 8-4 Loma
Teo fought better than I expected, and I didn't think he was that much bigger than Lomachenko.
With that said I didn't think it was a close fight, I thought Teo looked like a confident heavy bag. When the scores were read out I thought that 119-109 was a bit wide for Loma though. Loma didn't throw anything in the first few rounds and his punches clearly didn't have much affect on Teo, but Teo was eating punches and punching arms. Loma didn't look interested, I thought he won easily but I also thought going into the 11th that he should retire after the win, as he clearly doesn't have that fire back.
I half expected to see that the wrong name was called out with the result being overturned when I came on here, but apparently boxing judges are just that poor. I had Teo up 4-2 after 6, but going into the later rounds I stopped scoring as it was that one-sided.
Teo is a physical specimen, I hope he can add some more skills to his physical ability and clean up at 140 (he clearly drained hard to make 135, he looked like a middleweight). I'd like to see Teo versus Tank, I've got Teo in that one.
Loma is the greatest fighter ever, unfortunately he peaked in 2009. He has been boxing for a long time, his disinterest and Teo's confident posture really swayed these judges so I'm not that fussed about him losing the decision. I think the Campbell and Linares fights were closer than this one, but that's boxing. Teo stayed focused, threw a good variety of punches with explosive power and was never fussed about getting outboxed. Landed some good body punches, and most importantly he stayed confident. Loma's defense and finesse is still absolutely ridiculous, the way he can avoid everything while sitting in the pocket and landing at will on a guy with all the physical advantages...

From memory the second, the fifth, and then the last six rounds. If anyone wants to pull out any of those rounds to actually analyse then cool, I wouldn't expect anyone here to want to see they're wrong though.Which 8 rounds did you 'give' to Lomachenko?
The second? :lol:From memory the second, the fifth, and then the last six rounds. If anyone wants to pull out any of those rounds to actually analyse then cool, I wouldn't expect anyone here to want to see they're wrong though.
If he rematches he simply has to throw caution to the wind and risk getting stopped. His only success came when he kept the output high and threw hands, when he's not doing that then Lopez reach, hand speed and power with that jab just keeps him tamed.Man, what a night. Always love seeing an underdog come through. Lopez looked so brilliant. IDK how Lomachenko can win a rematch. If he starts more aggressive, he's risking getting stopped. Pretty sure that's the reason why he wasn't the normal Lomachenko. I swear I think he got a little shook in that first round off a hook. ESPN just seemed to only post his highlights, and Andre Ward with that ridiculous scorecard.
What don't you understand about that? You'd see that before the fight I was saying that Teo's trash talk was hopefully going to give Loma his fire back for boxing. It didn't, that doesn't mean he didn't easily outbox Teo.thinks Loma won the fight
also thinks Loma should retire
:rofl

He gave round 12 to Loma.:lol::lol:
It's just fucking strange isn't it, Loma's biggest nuthugger pretends he didn't watch the fight live. The second?
The fifth?
The twelfth?
For fuck's sake get your eyes checked!
"another atrocious decision"What don't you understand about that? You'd see that before the fight I was saying that Teo's trash talk was hopefully going to give Loma his fire back for boxing. It didn't, that doesn't mean he didn't easily outbox Teo.
You look at Teo's energy, his lack of concern at getting combinations landing on him, his confident posture after he had clearly lost the rounds.. those things influence judges, and that's the dominant energy you want to see in a champ.
Lomachenko looked like he was taking a walk in the park, he had the posture of a loser despite outboxing Teo with ease. He was doing a job in there, while Teo was living his passion, his dream. I'm happy for him and I'm not upset that he got the decision, even though as a boxing fan it was just another atrocious decision. I hope Teo understands all his flaws as a boxer, against someone who can hurt him he can't just eat five punch combinations like that.
