Fighting on the Mayweather undercard isn't a huge deal. Nobody cares about Theophane now and they won't after the Cano fight. Fighting Senchenko will make Brook more money in the short and long term.

Senchenko definitely. What's the logic in taking on Cano on a first fight TV slot that no American has heard of?
More Americans have heard of Cano that Senchenko:lol:, seems pretty good logic fighting on biggest card in years and getting great exposure against a decent name. Or fight a nobody in Sheffield with no American TV in a fight that doesn't advance him at all

Woah

Do you realise how huge these ppv cards are all around the world and the exposure and interest he would attract from a winnable fight.

I cannot see how the senchenko fight is a bigger deal.

Yeah, this is odd logic. There's more exposure, more chance of scoring a big fight with one of the night's losers, and at least Cano survived until the end of the fight with Malignaggi. Jeez, fighting a guy that Paulie stopped... that just sums Kell's ambitions up. There's no point to that fight other than cynical publicity.

*Except that it would put Brook on Boxnation, so there's another reason.

Own bill in Sheffield/senchenko by a fookin landslide.

He would be/Theophane is gonna be buried rather deep on the card surely. If you could guarentee it was gonna be one of the 3 live fights and on just before matthyse v garcia then thats dandy but, that aint gonna happen and edward would knows this.

It was froch ward against Galarza who had a half decent record and came to have a go.

Brook was visibly nervous and was caught far too many times for a top flight welter,I think this experience has tempered his ambitions.
I think he suffers from nerves and the expectation from his friends and family.watching the interview with him that night it really hit home how bad he had been.
I think with a showcase you should be excited and confident enough to say 'I'm the man' and show the world.brooks subsequent problems with the Alexander farce just confirmed my suspicions and I don't think he will ever fight in America again.
FROCH/WARD super six final, that was it! and I think you have hit the nail on the head right there! you would think somebody in his position would be chomping on the bit to go across the pond and have a crack at the big names on the world stage,if not Alexander then one of the other big names. khan is a great example of what a british fighter can achieve if he is willing to leave his comfort zone and take some risks! love him or hate him you cant question Amir Khans ambition

Khan already had a title and a defence cleared in by the time he went to the US. He wasn't really taking risks, he was an established champion fighting his challengers.

I meant nobody has heard of Kell Brook. He got beat by Malignaggi (like it or not). The point in the Senchenko fight isn't to progress him. Eddie is waiting entirely on the IBF mandatory position. Is Cano more risky? They want the highest reward, lowest risk. They can market the fuck of out the Senchenko fight here. Why here? Because he sells tickets and Sky love Brook ' could be a future PPV fighter. They want to build and market Kell here. Fighting at 2/3 in the morning would attract no casual fans. And presides, Sky still wouldn't have got the Mayweather card. BoxNation would have put Sky to shame on the bid to show it. So it wouldn't be on the Maywetpather card.

The majority of casual fans who make Mayweather PPVs a massive success don't know who fights on the undercards, nor do they care. Many of the people in the arena and watching at home or in the cinema for the next Mayweather fight won't even care about the Matthysse/Garcia fight, never mind a Cano bout which may not even get shown on TV. Jessie Vargas has been on a few Mayweather undercards yet who cares about him? Nobody. Mayweather PPVs get big numbers but the majority of them only care about him fighting, not the undercard.

Being on a Mayweather undercard is not a ticket to superstardom. Brook is better being a big fish in a small pond at this stage in his career.

but after the Prescott knockout he could have just stayed in bolton and spent the the last 7 years knocking out Bulgarian taxi drivers for easy paydays and his fans would lap it up and still think he is the best thing since Muhammad Ali but he didont, he chose to fight for a world title soon after when he knew the world was watching and waiting for him to slip up. that takes balls my friend..........! I don't even like amir khan so why im even debating this I don't know??? too much coffee I thinks:huh
