i buy every ppv, but if this is going to be brook vs bundu, khan vs a nobody & haye vs a nobody they got no fucking chance
Brook vs Bundu alone might get PPV. But what about Brook vs Rios, and Khan vs Bundu for the right to challenge for the title next May? I know,it won't happen. You're probably right. Khan will box a non puncher to keep alive his chances of challenging Brook. Haye I really can't see boxing, but if he does Id expect somebody he can dispose of inside a round,a bit like his first heavyweight opponent.

Fucking nobody outside boxing fans is talking about Kell Brook. For it to be PPV, Kell has to appeal to a wider audience.

Maybe so,but it still amazes me how the first Froch/Groves fight appealed to that wider audience and sold so well. I think Brook/Khan can be built up very well,to be fair. Brook is popular in his hometown, and Khan is popular all over GB with fans of Asian extraction. Im surprised they're both boxing in December, but it makes good sense, especially in Sheffield. Its a far better fight to me than Groves/Froch,but then I don't class myself as casual.

You don't build up Brook Khan by sticking Brook Bundu on PPV as you suggest, quite the opposite.

What about my other suggestion, then? Khan against Bundu in an eliminator? If not,how would you build that fight up?
Bundu has been ordered to fight ionut dan dan in a final eliminator for the IBF.

The winner will become mandatory to the champion, considering neither have star quality or big backing, the eliminator is a great way to press for a title shot they wouldn't otherwise get.

The only way bundu gets a shot until then is as a voluntary to brook which Eddie Hearn has ruled out because American tv want a known quantity as an opponent.

Khan is not coming back to fight Bundu. He either fights Brook or someone in America like Alexander.
I know he won't fight Bundu, but it was just something I said Id like to see. Actually,I like Brook/Bundu,but that won't happen either. Plus I really can't see Khan tackling an opponent as good as Alexander when he's still holding out hopes for a Floyd fight with Kell as a back up.

I think Khan will fight somebody decent, the PPV buying public will expect Floyd to be facing a man with current pedigree.the wins over collazo,Diaz and Molina won't be enough.

Alexander or geurrero are possible as both need opponents for around that time,if khan loses Floyd can turn to Danny Garcia at 147 or Miguel cotto at 154.

Only reason for my thinking is that I think Amirs deluded enough to think he's already got the Mayweather fight when it might not be the case. Thats the way he's come across in interviews. I definitely agree with you that his recent record shouldn't be enough to earn him a crack. Id like to see Mayweather box at light middle if theres anybody up there for him,and clear the way for Khan vs Brook over here. Also,I see Guerrero especially as an extremely difficult fight for Amir, and Alexander not the easy mark he is seen by some. You pointed out the eliminator involvingg Bundu. Im pleased for him,as Id like to see him getting a crack after his 2 wins over here, especially the Gavin win. To me that was something to be rewarded for.

Yep bundus as deserving as most,he hasn't got a top level win on his record but that's because he hasn't had the opportunity.at his age and with his attractive style,I thought he would of been a perfect opponent for brooks homecoming.however the final eliminator is a good consolation.

As for khan,he has been stung before waiting for Floyd so won't bank on anything.golden boy have made hints at Alexander or Guerrero and showtime are in desperate need of a good main event.amir has the belief in himself needed to face either of these before a Floyd fight, and I believe he has the ability to beat both as well.thats doesn't mean he will, but he has a great chance and of course great motivation to win.

Can just picture it now, the Sky commentators creaming after he knocks over his opponent in a round or two.

Halling: "2 years out and it's like he's never been away!"

Watt: "Haye is still the most dangerous fighter in the heavyweight division Nick!"

:rolleyes

This is exactly how it will pan out by SKY. Sadly the casuals who watch I'm a Celeb and loose women on ITV will fall for it.

Kell Brook vs Bundu on PPV would bomb so badly, Froch vs Kessler only did 200k buys. Kell Brooks profile is massively overrated fair enough i'm Irish but none of my mates outside of those who follow boxing have a clue who Brook is. I think his profile in the UK is also vastly overrated he's popular in Sheffield but let's be real the only way he becomes a star is fighting Khan or have a Bute type fight in the UK on Sky were he beats a highly rated fighter like Thurman in style. I'd say 95% of people in the UK don't know Kell Brook is now a world champion not the kind of profile you need to be PPV.

Just look at the Brook viewing figures over the last 3 years, they've always been excellent. Bit harsh saying he's only known in Sheffield.

Bellew does good viewing figures as well but can you imagine him on PPV selling decently? The only big name fighters in the UK are Froch, Khan and Haye. Groves is well known now but after such a defeat i doubt he'd sell well on PPV for the time being.

Bellew viewing figures are nowhere near Brooks tbh. BTW, I'm not saying Brook will do good numbers on PPV but his Sky viewing figures are great, now he's a world chapion and Hearn will be going into promotional overdrive, they can only get better. To become a PPV star he has to beat Khan.
