can't see lee taking it....but wouldn't be the first time i've been wrong.
i think chavez is getting better as time goes on......you could argue lee is too...but chavez more so for me

 

Not long now!! Should be competitive until about the 8th when Lee starts gassing.

Chavez Jr literally can't lose a decision (Courtesy of WBC), so Lee would have to stop him & that's not happening.

Probably Chavez Jr by late TKO in the championship rounds.

 

Chavez jr. will blow him out by the 6th .... i just dont think Andy Lee is 1- particularly durable or 2- particularly good.

 

I'll take Chavez to finish it late on.

Who you got for this? I think it could be a close run thing to me Chavez isn't up to all that much and I think Lee is underrated especially in Britain, got a feeling Lee might just pull it off

Lee has a chance. He's tall and has the reach to trouble chavez with the jab. What lee lacks though is head movement (badly!) and maybe an issue over his stamina although seeing as this is his big moment I'd be very surprised if he falls short there. He's a great technical boxer Lee but he needs to keep chavez off him or chavez will wear him down late on

Chavez via late stoppage, id liek to see Andy win but i cant see him dealing with Julio's pressure late on. I think Lee will outbox him for a fair few of the early rounds though.

 

Lee has a chance. He's tall and has the reach to trouble chavez with the jab. I think the stamina issue is related to the fact he ships punishment. If he keeps it at range and doesn't keep getting clipped I fancy him to do alright.

Another big factor is how big Chavez is. If he comes in as a cruiserweight again it could be hard work for Lee no matter how well he boxes. In the back of my mind though I do feel that Chavez Jr is going to come unstuck with his weight draining sooner or later. The fact they flew Ariza out because he had ballooned so badly, then fired him could be an alarm bell, especially with his history of using illegal diuretics. I can see him ending up as an absolute shell like ODLH in the Pac fight.

Well I'd imagine chavez will prob walk into the ring about 180-185ish? Lee might be 10-15lbs below that come fight night I'm not sure how much he adds on. That's a lotta weight wearing lee down,holding onto him and pushing him off the ropes. I hope your right about chavez being fucked at the weight though. Manny steward is in lee's corner saturday yea?

Against McEwan, Lee weighed 173lbs on the night. Chavez will probably be around 180lbs. I think Chavez will win wide or get a late stoppage. He's better than a lot think IMO.

Chavez stoppage for me. I'm not all that knowledgable on Lee but in the few fights I've seen him in I can distinctly remember him not impressing me. Chavez may be overhyped (or at least was overhyped) but I think the talent is there.
