Pick up a dictionary mate. How is that video in any way a "technical summary"?
Just a load of highlight reels squashed together.
tech·ni·cal
ˈteknək(ə)l/
adjective

of or relating to a particular subject, art, or craft, or its techniques.

sum·ma·ry
ˈsəmərē/
noun

a brief statement or account of the main points of something.

The video examines each fighter's strengths and weaknesses, and how they might match up against each other. It summarizes points about their technique. Therefore, it is a technical summary. Hope that helps.

I don't think Keith has the tools to keep Porter off him like Brook did. It was all very textbook. Thurman will use his feet more and lead when Porter gets close (the rear uppercut in particular looks a useful weapon).

The problem with Porter is how brainless his approach can be and how much he smothers his work. He doesn't react to punches consitently which means he gets clipped as he looks to get inside. He throws looping clubbing punches and the bodywork is rare and devoid of any leverage. He'll get inside but unless Keith badly struggles with his strength on the inside it'll just look scrappy and ineffectual.

Don't get tragic mate, that video doesn't do either. This is a technical summary

What you posted is a mish mash of clips from different fights so don't get pretentious.

Thurman wins at a canter fwiw. Porter is far too flat footed and crude, only way he wins is by KO but Thurman's movement & elusiveness reduces the potential of that happening massively.

Pretentious? I simply followed your advice and was pleasantly surprised (not really tho) that the dictionary agrees with me.

The video obviously summarizes points about their technique. Thurman's long-mid range power punches, his movement along the perimeter which leaves his body vulnerable, Porter's offensive strengths and weaknesses in the pocket, those are all techniques. The video summarizes them. That Rigondeaux film study is a hyper focus on a few of his techniques, not a fight breakdown. It would be quite useless to spend 10 minutes examining how each of them throws a particular punch. They are both quite textbook an plain, and how they match up has to do with broader tactical factors than subtle habits in their form.

Feel free to exit the thread if it's not to your liking.

This interview makes me think Thurman will adopt the strategy you're describing:

Wearing that twat cap with pride, huh?
