By TMZ

Manny Pacquiao's financial problems are starting to build up. He now has a bill of $18 million dollars ... in addition to his $50 million dollar tax fight in the Philippines ... and this time, it's Uncle Sam that's trying to force Manny to pay up.

TMZ Sports has obtained official documents which show the IRS claims Manny owes the government millions in federal income taxes from 2006 to 2010 ... totaling $18,313,668.79 in debt.

Here's the yearly breakdown:

2006 -- $1,160,324.30
2007 -- $2,035,992.50
2008 -- $2,862,437.11
2009 -- $8,022,915.87
2010 -- $4,231,999.01

Interesting note -- Manny had 3 big fights in 2008, including a match against Oscar De La Hoya in which MP reportedly banked $15-$30 million in guaranteed cash.

In 2009, Manny famously fought Ricky Hatton and Miguel Cotto.

Manny's U.S. tax problems come on the heels of a nasty tax war in his home country, the Philippines ... where the goverment claims he evaded paying $50 million in taxes in 2008 and 2009 stemming from fights that took place in the United States.

Philippines officials have frozen the bank accounts Manny has in the country ... and even placed a lien on one of his most expensive properties, located in Manila.

We reached out to Manny's camp -- so far no word back.
We don't know if bop has a hand in emmanuel's issues or not, but let's hope he smoothly gets pass this ordeal.

So foul. I bet Manny was thinking his business was handled by Rot Stank. I hope Manny jumps ship and gets his mind right. Get over to GBP and get that big payday against FMJ. Win or lose, I want Manny to have a good life after laying it on the line for so long. I would hate to see Manny getting sparked by nobodies like so many other former greats ended up.

Oh Pactards, be careful what you wish up on others...

You know what... I take this back. Pac ain't the victim here. I would feel sorry for him if I hadn't researched the dude during the ESB Wars. Pac has a trail of shady business and political dealings all throughout his life. From unclaimed kids to political assassination. Pac probably had that fight in Macau because he knew this was coming.

The dude had an audit and after the auditors found inconsistencies he fired them and went right back. Hate for a Boxer to go through this, but Pac had tons of chances to fix this and shaded the very people who tried to help him.

Oh Pactards...

Wait a minute, didn't Arum say Top RAnk takes 30% off the top of his purse to pay taxes?
If that's in Pac's contract, then he'd have to sue Arum (and good luck with that) to get his money.

Problem with this scenario:

1: Old Beelzebob probably had the contract worded in such a way that it didn't actually say this, legally. (or if you read it too closely, it suddenly bursts into flames)

2: Even if it did, fighting Arum in court would take years, and exhaust whatever funds Manny still has left.

3: Even if somehow, some way, Manny eventually were to get this money from Arum, he'd still owe massive interest & penalties to the IRS, which by then would probably be as much as the current bill.

------------------------

I work in the music business, which is just as smelly and disgusting as the boxing business. Believe me, unless you have a great lawyer, tons of cash, and lots of time, even a GOOD contract is worthless, unless the other guy actually wants to honor it.

I think Manny's best course of action might be to get in touch with a US federal prosecutor, and have a long talk about Bob Arum. With some luck, he might find someone who badly wants to clean up boxing. (Many years ago, they went after Don King pretty hard, but that snake managed to slither away unscathed.)

In that case, the prosecutor might get the IRS to give Many time, or a special exemption or something, in return for his help & testimony against Arum & company.
It's been done before.

------------------

I don't have a clue what he can do in the Phillipines, though I suspect that that whole debacle is probably being orchestrated by his political rivals, the way California governor Gray Davis was (illegally) recalled from office and replaced with Republican puppet Ah-nold Shwarzenager.

- butI digress ......

Bob Arum said Koncz has a company called EDK or some shit that is run by Manny to handle his dealings in the US. Says that they pay his taxes etc. The dude was robbed by them and now it's coming out. Shit has but the fan and this is why Arum and Koncz didn't want to turn over documents to Vision Quest. Manny wasn't making 30 million dollars and all that shit. The crazy thing is Floyd tried to warn him yrs ago.

if he signs with top rank again after his current shit expires, I don't think anyone can continue to give him the benefit of the doubt of "being slow". he just enjoys the protection from Floyd bop provides at the expense of being financially screwed

I feel awful for Pacquiao and I don't even like him :-(
Don't feel bad for him. He is the stupid one for firing Vision Quest bc Arum and Koncz told him to. Hell they gave him proof that Koncz was working for Top Rank, proof that his money wasn't adding up to reports, and Top Rank refused to give them documents needed to complete their investigation that Manny hired them to do. Then he turns around and fucks them over.

Probably also why they didn't want Pac to do a GBP deal. Once Pac saw those O's hit his account he would have went bananas on Rot Stank.
