Today when i was in University, i was thinking about Ronald Winky Wright.

And i think this fight was a stylistic nightmare for Floyd Mayweather Junior.

I honestly don't see what on earth Floyd Mayweather can do up against Ronald Winky Wright.

You get allot of people stating that Ronald Winky Wright was a defensive fighter, again this was a complete myth.

In the history of Winky Wright's career he was never ever a defensive first fighter, he was always a educated pressure fighter. People like to say terms like "defensive fighter", to sound intelligent and to come across as a hardcore boxing fan.

"I like offense, forget what the new age experts say: Offense wins you fights"

One thing that i liked about Winky Wright was his long range ability, and straight punches. Too many fighters these days, seem to have the no ability in throwing straight punches. Physically at 147/154 i think he was incredibly strong physically, and his jab was by far better than Floyd Mayweather's. If they ever fought, i believe that Winky Wright would totally shut Mayweather down with the jab, most of Mayweather's attacks would just be brushed aside and blocked.

People only need to look at how Oscar De La Hoya, lets face it..? brushed aside most of Floyd Mayweather's attacks, with clever blocking, shades of slickness. And Ronald Winky Wright's defence, was a defence which enabled him to come forward constantly. He was like a mobile armoured tank, just coming forward letting lose with long range missiles.

Floyd Mayweather likes to leap in with single lead right hands, and lead left hooks like Roy Jones Junior.

"This most likely will be his game plan, because his jab will be totally taken away!"

Or Maybe he can come on the inside, and implement a inside game like James "Lights Out" Toney. Again Ronald Winky Wright, i just feel will be to strong physically and technically right there with Floyd Mayweather.

The bad news for Mayweather up against Winky Wright, is that Ronald Winky Wright was a incredibly bad man. Very very physically tough, shown in his fights during the end of his career hustling with Bernard Hopkins in a jail house fight. And his fight against Bernard Hopkins was a close and competitive fight, and we are talking about Bernard Hopkins here.

Bernard Hopkins: Knows just as much as Floyd Mayweather about the sweet science.

So i am not sure what Floyd Mayweather can do up against a prime Ronald Winky Wright!

There was no time period where they weren't at least a weight class apart, however, as a fantasy fight he still wouldn't have destroyed Floyd. He was a good fighter but was often too lackadaisical, didn't posses heavy hands, there really wasn't anything special about him. :conf

I doubt he'd destroy Fmjr, since WW hasn't really destroyed anyone, even those a level below Fmjr. But I do believe he'd win a wide UD. FMjr doesn't have anything to keep Winky off him, or to get through that defense.

He was physically stronger than Mayweather, better jab, better workrate, better combination puncher.

What's a prime Mayweather at WelterWeight..? The Mayweather who face Oscar De La Hoya or Zab Judah..?

This fight is a stylistic nightmare for Floyd Mayweather.

I wouldn't say destroy but I would have favored Winky to beat him. Naturally much bigger with an ATG jab and great defense. PBF would have to box the fight of his life to have a chance sticking and moving I don't see him doing that at 154.

It was a little out of the ordinary when FMjr challenged WW. I don't think anyone believed he was serious TBH. But the bluff was called.

Most of Floyd's opponents are physically stronger than him, have better workrates, and are better combination punchers. What's new? I'd say the Mayweather that fought Oscar wouldn't be there often enough for Winky to walk down and unload on.

Nah, he might have made it ugly but I favor Floyd against Winky. He depends a lot on his right jab, which is not the same as a left jab against Floyd. Floyd is very good at pawing right jabs and sticking his straight right to the body or head. He was more mobile and had a more versatile punch output. I think he'd land around the guard and to the body and stay out of reach of Winky's offense for most of the time. Winky could make it more difficult if he tried to bully him, but he doesn't have the footspeed.
