They were friends and grew up together in the USSR and sparred a little bit but decided to never fight unless they had to and because they promised their mother. Frazier TKO5. He was definitely the tougher, darker brother.

People say Norton didn't have the best chin and that's why he's so vulnerable to punchers. I think it has more to do with Kenny always being in punching range and being wide open defensively. Against the boxers his tactics worked. The harder punchers made him pay the price. So yeah, I'd pick Frazier to grind him down.

Do you get what I mean about Norton? It's not wise to try blocking and parrying with George Foreman. He'll punch right through you.

Or maybe it was because Norton started slow and was suspectible to a fast starting banger (which Foreman, Shavers and Cooney were).
Against Jose Luis Garcia he probably was pre prime so I don't know if I can count that against him.
Frazier is still the clear favourite, but he's not going to do it as fast as Foreman, Shavers or Gerry did.
If it was because of a wide open defence he wouldn't have lasted 57 combined rounds against Ali and Holmes.

I can see that too, being a slow starter. He's too stationary with his swarming, too easy to find. Holmes had him hurt a bunch of times.

Oh, I "get" what you mean. But you've got to remember that Lewis destroyed Frazier's face and Frazier was tougher than Norton. What do you think he'd have done to Norton? Frazier TKO5.

Frazier TKOs him in the mid-late rounds. No doubt in my mind that he would have had the edge. Kenny can't bang out Frazier & he certainly can't outbox him.

Norton dispells that myth that they didn't fight because they were friends in his book. He states that the money wasn't right, and if it was, they would've fought.BTW, I thinks Fraziers stops him late.

Same. Frazier could bang with the best, but I don't think he punches through Norton so easily as foreman. That being said, Frazier could be hurt. Norton could hit. The possibility is there for Norton to put a hurt on Frazier given the right moment. He would have to stop Frazier though and I don't think that he does. He would likely wilt eventually under the relentless pressure and be stopped late.
