First time I've seen it, my god that was appalling. How is anyone defending it? Takam seemed to have all his senses there slipping and blocking shots. I've not yet watched any of the fight but read a lot here and by all accounts it sounds like the usual bollocks of sky being biased and just plain lying on commentary again, followed by the ref doing anything he can to keep Joshua's ko ratio intact. As @One to watch said somewhere previously it wouldn't have done Joshua any harm to see the end of 12 rounds anyway and there's always the possibility that he could have got a genuine stoppage anyway. All involved are too interested in keeping that 100% ko record intact for future marketing purposes.

Against the broadcaster's wishes? They didn't even broadcast it

Thank God they somehow found time for Sweet Caroline and all the PPV adverts.
The thing that pains me most about ppv, even more than poor cards and lacklustre main events is the constant ad breaks in an event your paying for to see live! Never forget sky missing fury singing in the ring after probably the biggest win for a British heavy in 10+ years because they jumped to ads for fucking protein shakes, shake and vac or some other bollocks. Also between rounds I wanna hear the corners or see a few highlights of the last round, not see that youth doing sit ups on his mums living room floor.

Looking at it again,it was a really tough fight for AJ kay the short notice opponent change and the broken nose but I think having fights like this put miles on the clock and where as before I thought he might dominate for years and years I think he might be retired in 5.He still beats Wilder and everyone else that is available that version of Fury who could well beat him will never exsist again imo but with his gas tank and some of his flaws he will have a shorter career then I thought he would.

The sad thing is boxing fans are fickle. This will soon all be forgotten about and the hype for AJ’s next fight will begin and the same old bullshit will begin.

I can’t even begin to think how a Whyte/AJ rematch build up is going to be. More garbage from Sky and Matchroom.

Credit to Takam. He deserves credit after last night. The real winner of the event. I wouldn’t mind seeing him have another pay day.

Froch now reckons it was stopped too early. This guy is the shittest commentator sky have ever had. Not only is he always wrong but he's constantly contradicting himself

"The first thing I want to say is Phil Edwards is a very good referee. I had him in a few of my fights so it would be wrong for me to say it was stopped way too early, but if I am honest, it probably was. If a fight can go on, it should go on, especially if there is a world title at stake."

Having watched the whole card last night and having slept on it and reflected...

Yea it was a fucking shit card and a really boring night all told.

The best fight was the women’s fight, then the AJ vs Takam fight will get over praised and history will be re-written regarding it. Basically Takam was tough and didn’t get stopped early as expected. Fair play to him but that doesn’t make a good fight.

Your right it wasn't a good fight.

Interesting enough but not competitive.
