No offence to the people buying this but I hope Eddie doesn't get away with it and the fights are dire and he gets slated for the show
Don't feel the need to avoid offending them mate, anyone stupid enough to buy this deserves everything they get.

This is a pitiful PPV card. They've gotten progressively worse but if this does 300k+ then we are absolutely fucked and this will become the norm.

This card is beyond shite. It was shite when it was first announced and now thanks to the pullouts it’s an absolute disgrace. I feel bad for Whyte but I won’t be buying this and I really hope it bombs badly so we’re not fed this sort of crap again.

Thing is, the SKY/Hearn/Matchroom machine will make sure people buy this and that will justify more shite.

There's a load of casuals buying this at my workplace. I dont think it will do well but probably enough to get away with it.

Pub for me, not a chance aid spend twenty quid on it.

Whyte v Parker and Chisora v Takam have equal chance of being dire snoozefest as they do of being cracking pub brawls. Webb v Allen will almost certainly be boring as hell. buatsi and Vuglioni in blow outs and then Benn v Journeyman II plus Katie Taylor.

Not a chance I'd part with my money on this on tbf.

What an absolute farce. Allen was retiring a week ago, is overweight, was a shambles v Yoka and he gets rewarded with a PPV appearance? Hearn is taking the piss.

This card is awful. Chisora is a busted flush, I've about as much interest in Katie Taylor as I do sticking a firework up my arse, and the main event is 2 guys who could potentially stink the joint out - I've never been impressed by Parker, he's durable and steady but he's not exciting in the slightest, and if Whyte can't shake him, it'll be a cagey boring affair. Don't worry though, Connor Benn against a guy nobody expected to take him 4 rounds or so is apparently enough to sell PPV now.

I'd watch this on Sky Sports if it was on (which I do pay for Eddie incidentally, something he seems to forget when he says he can't give these fights away for "free") but not a prayer on PPV.

I actually quite like this fight and as OTW said this is exactly the type of fight that Dave Allen should be having rather than fighting Tony Yoka in Paris on short notice. It's also a better fight for Nick Webb than the Joyce fight. I get that as boxing fans we should all be outraged that its PPV etc but I'm still going to buy it and really like the headline fight and the Chisora v Takam fight.

However Eddie has really messed up this undercard in a biblical way. He initially put Kell Brook in a shit fight vs a Boxrec special and then had a good 5-6 weeks to sort out a replacement. He didn't and then will feel sorry for himself because Ricky Summers had to pull out and then he got unlucky with Eggington seemingly also having to also pull out days after agreeing to fight. Trouble is that this isn't a case of bad luck its down to piss poor planning. He tried to sign a fight with CEJ and failed and Sky half announced it. He announced that Joyce would be on the card vs Nick Webb and then Joyce's team apparently bottled it. He teased a very good opponent for Buatsi but he and his team have also bottled it in favour of knock-over TBA. This chain of events and mismanagement of an undercard tells me that Eddie is really struggling and has little control over his stable if he can't get fights made for a sold out O2 with what I'm imagining is a big budget after Kell pulled out then what is he doing as a promoter. Oh, an people wouldn't be anywhere near as critical of this card if Eddie didn't tell everything he was thinking of doing to his fake mate Kugan. He makes a rod for his own back by saying " I don't announce fights before they're signed...Joyce...Webb...Buatsi...Russian European Champion who challenged for world title etc. etc. etc.

Having said all that I still think this PPV does quite well even though its the end of July and the undercard has been an embarrassment.

Complete and utter shit. I stopped buying these piss poor ppv’s around two years ago & said on here I can’t tell people how to spend their money but if they pay for shit ppv’s they only going to get worse & look what’s happened.

If you buy this weekend’s one do you think they’re going to get better or worse in the future?

Every credit to Dave Allen for manoeuvring an active twitter account into now becoming a staple PPV undercard fighter.

He's not even an entertaining fighter. He's gonna be in a state conditioning wise I'd imagine

Both with a full camp and serious I'd be interested - but Allen was bragging about eating a chinese takeaway the other night

Yeah Webb really aint up to much.

Big,can punch, physically strong but I think very limited considering some of the names he is bandied in with.

Allen by decision at 7/2 isn't bad value for what I consider to be a 50/50 fight (if both guys were well prepped).

Edit - that's 7/2 outright, will wait for the odds
I thought Webb would be favourite but that looks a big price considering Webb hasn't asked many questions yet never mind answering them.
