again, i reckon aj and team will fancy it after watching him struggle with fury and wilders team know that they cant risk another fury fight as with another proper camp he would be even more dangerous.

and we are hearing fuck all from either camp at the moment. i reckon its getting made right now.
Could be right cos they won't even mention Fury name. I think they'd still have gone for Wilder if he'd lost the decision. And then they'd probably have got their wish with Wilder talking a lesser share.

I dont mate
Genuinely, with the disparity in purses and drawing power between them, how do you think Lewis would have gotten on if he demanded 50% from Holyfield? Cos it's a fairly similar scenario, one man draws more than the other, one man earns and has earned considerably more than the other, but they're both champs and it was a much anticipated fight, so surely you're logic should still apply there.

Do you think Holyfield would have obliged Lennox the way you think AJ should oblige Wilder?

Im not quite with this Holyfield draws more than Lewis stuff Alf. Cant remember that but then again I'm not into the politics of it all. Holyfield I think was pound for pound better but Lennox the better heavyweight.

Well yes Lennox was better, but we didn't know that till after the match.

Up until that point, Holyfield was the one who had headlined several ppv's. Lewis had done one as the B-side (and incidently did similar numbers to Fury-Wilder), but typically done smaller shows. In terms of what each guy was earning and the drawing power of each, the disparity was not all that different from the current scenario.

Of course Lennox eventually did headline a lot more ppv's by the end. But at that point, when negotiating a fight with Holyfield, he'd of been laughed out of the building for suggesting 50/50, again, similar to the current climate.

Because Fury was able to press Wilder for a big fight knowing he needed one now.

There is no benefit to us as fans to negotiations being private, it allows promoters and fighters to hide the truth.
The AJ-Wilder negotiations were a total sham and even though they were very public nobody knows the truth except the parties. You don't know the truth. I don't know the truth. The truth was buried deep below the grandstanding, dick waving and lies.

Frank Warren has confirmed talks are ongoing for a massive rematch between Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury.

Just hours after rival Barry Hearn admitted defeat in attempts to sway Wilder to Anthony Joshua for April 13, Warren said Fury was in line for a return.

"At the moment I'm talking with Shelly Finkel, who looks after Wilder. We are trying to get the rematch together."

"Tyson only wants big fights. There's only two big fights out there -- that's Wilder, and that's Joshua," said Warren. "Joshua doesn't even want to fight him because I think he knows he'll get beat."

The truth is the chinny robot DUCKED wilder. Whether big josh has any say in who he fights is up for grabs, blame his team if you must but the rest is as clear as day.

Id have liked that bar the Chinny Robot bit. Wilder WAS ducked but by Hearn. Only thing is I think AJ could have overruled him. Thats not exactly unique for a fighter to do that. But again, and for business reasons rather than being afraid etc he chose not to.

An ugly fight that will excite few.
Is there a possibility we could get PULEV instead of Miller?? He looks to have earned his shot and is probably still mandatory challenger. Not sure I like him more than Miller though. We won't get that "these 2 really don't like each other" factor and I still don't think he fancies fighting in the UK.

Hence my caveat that all the signs point to the chinny robot being a meticulously crafted marketing product with little to no say on his career decisions.
