There are some ugly possibilities.Tbf to Nigel, it will be hard for him to go down the usual mid-life crisis routes.
He has already owned sports cars, had affairs and indulged his fantasies of being a musician. What's left?
Nigel Benn has been refused a licence to fight by BBBofC ahead of expected comeback fight against Sakio Bika.Is this shit still on?
Upset?Fancy Bika for the upset here, will be close but the youngster will take it. If this was 23 years ago benn wins in a war.
Indeed, Nige would murder that 17 year old.Fancy Bika for the upset here, will be close but the youngster will take it. If this was 23 years ago benn wins in a war.
I just wish it was against someone closer to his age and inactivity level. I mean I'd rather not see it happen at all, but boxing is always going to facilitate freak shows like this.As Thin Lizzy said, "If the boys wanna fight you'd better let them". No one has the right to tell Benn what he can and can't do whether he's 25, 55, or 105 years old. Good luck to him.
We all know boxing's a ridiculously dangerous thing to do at any age but guess what it's still around. Fair enough if the governing bodies don't want to know. He doesn't need them, promoters or anyone. His event will stand or fall on its merits, just like the man himself when he enters the ring.
