I honestly wonder if many people have actually seen Usyk fight, if you have and you are making out this is a cakewalk for him I don't know what to tell you.
If I was Joshua I would start on the backfoot as Usyk is a very slow starter, he will take 3-4 rounds to start timing Joshua which is exactly the point Joshua should stop dancing, plant his feet and go at Usyk at mid range. If Joshua can nick the first 4 off the slow starter, he only needs to win 3 of the last 8.
Usyk has good angles and a good work rate but his power isn't Ruiz level, nor is his handspeed, in addition he will suffer in clinches vs the giants.
Usyk is a Hardcores wet dream but he's not as good as Lomachenko and he lacks in the areas he would need to excel in to beat AJ being speed movement and power.
I respect his toughness and boxing ability enough to not predict a KO but I'm pretty sure Joshua can win 7 rounds vs this little guy who doesn't fight a style which is going to benefit him against super heavies.
Post fight he will be just a blown up cruiser who was "always just going to be too small, AJ just won on size"

Hearn has been saying for months that Usyk will make him push for this.
Makes sense from a business point of view too. Joshua can fight Pulev and Whyte next year. Usyk can face Chisora and Parker for WBO.
If Joshua and Usyk still hold the belts then you have a very credible ppv unification. Much bigger than it would be as a mandatory in March 2020, and perfect if you can't/won't make a fight with Wilder/Fury.
Usyk was Hearn's back up plan in case he needs to regain control of the heavyweight division. It's a great move by Hearn. He can waste Usyk's time while pretending to be his friend, and then if Joshua gets fucked up he has someone who can get the titles back under his control.
If AJ had lost to Ruiz you can bet Hearn would be pushing like fuck to get Usyk a fight at a world title. He'd be at it every fucking day on IFL 'look koogs, hes undisputed cruiserweight champion, only 15 fights, hes won everything, hes the best heavyweight in the WORLD'. Instead we hear shite about how 'well the IBF historically takes priority' and how Joshua needs to fight Pulev, while Usyk will fight a time waster.

Hope the noises he is making are legit.
I think Joshua vs Usyk is Hearn's crown jewel though. He'll build it.

I wasn't expecting that, but I've not seen Joshua sway away from a fight. Dude fought Klitschko, Povetkin, Whyte, and Parker. Definitely should've known better. I like Pulev and think he'll do better than people expect, but I think Usyk is a far superior matchup at this point in his career.

Usyk has apparently turned down Hearn's sweetener of Chisora and told him its Joshua or he'll fight for the vacant title instead.

I think Usyk beats him comfortably, but outside of fights including the big 3 it's almost as good as anything :good
Usyk won't be a puppet for Hearn.
He's just gone up a notch in my estimations...

I have heard Hearn and Kalle both say that Usyk doesn't want to mess about and is really pushing for Hearn to deliver the title fight next.
Was in recent IFL interviews, but I can't remember which ones. - (think Kalle might be in the big new year interview. God knows with Hearn, there are so many).
