Fury needs to focus on winning his next fight and not worry about Joshua. I'm more worried about Wilder than Usyk, if AJ/Usyk gets confirmed then the next thing we need to know is how many times will Usyk have to beat Joshua before he can declare that he's ready to make the undisputed fight?

I know Fury dominated Wilder last time out and was robbed the first time too and yes I'll be picking Fury next month also but complacency could cost him this fight because in the words of Deontay Wilder himself "my opponent has to be great for 36 minutes, I only have to be great for 2 seconds" Luis Ortiz would concur so my message to Fury would be don't look past him, there won't be another opportunity if he does.

I KNEW IT! Usyk will come to regret that, he should have held firm. This is disgraceful behaviour (threatening to drop the belt unless Usyk agrees to special terms) the sanctioning bodies need to pass some new rules preventing a mandatory challenger from being allowed to sign a rematch clause under any circumstances, it's not fair to the challenger, why should he have to win two fights now? This doesn't look good at all, I hope Usyk knocks him out now although he's also to blame, he shouldn't have caved in, very disappointing indeed.

Just watched the interview on Boxing Social where Hearn confirms the rematch clause, this Rob fella is the only British interviewer I've seen who asks the questions that need to be asked so I'm their newest subscriber.

Anyway Hearn said yes there will be a rematch clause and so when Rob asked him if we (the paying boxing fans) should be concerned he replies with no as it's none of our business. Well, it is our business Eddie, if we all unsubscribe from DAZN and stop attending the events there won't be any Matchroom left, he'd do well to remember that, I know he's Chairman now and all that but he should contain his arrogance.

Hearn also said that they have an offer on the table to go to Saudi Arabia to do the undisputed fight and so they could have just sat it out until December rather than risk tens of millions of dollars fighting Usyk. That's either a lie or Saudi are prepared to offer the same money for AJ vs Fury for 3 belts

This is the best Joshua interview I've heard for a long while. He doesn't sound like someone who is desperate for a rematch clause at all, great to hear from the champ in such positive spirit. It's a Sky interview so you know they didn't ask him why the Usyk fight hasn't been signed yet and why doesn't he tell Hearn not to persist with trying to get a rematch clause so we can get the fight done, they don't ask those sorts of questions on Sky interviews but nonetheless it's a good interview thanks to the fighter

So clearly the June 15th report implying that this fight was done was off the mark thus my subsequent comments also premature, Usyk obviously hasn't given in (yet) to a rematch clause in the contract, nothing else could realistically be holding this fight up, Usyk vs Chisora was made without any problem yet this mandatory fight is taking forever to conclude despite the fact that all the main terms are already predetermined by the WBO. So it has to be the rematch clause provision that is causing this to drag on. Does anyone know when the extension for negotiations expire? If I'm Joe Joyce's trainer I'm bringing in a few lefty's for this Takam training camp just in case

For me, I'm guessing he would need to beat AJ convincingly or win both the Fight and the inevitable contractual rematch. I'm guessing the TF fanboys who think he is the "Lineal" champ will require him to beat their boy as well but as I don't rate him that highly a convincing AJ win would be enough.

I feel like an AJ victory is enough for me. His CW resume is insane and still holds up very, very well. The only thing is that having a competitive fight with Chisora at HW takes away from him being a possible p4p #1, but a victory over AJ would be something special. Fury would be over the top, though. I mean that would be a legendary run.
