Lewis is too big and hard hitting. If Louis had a better chin and wouldn't get caught with at least one big shot at some point in all of his fight it would increase his chances vs modern SHWs a ton. But Lewis was huge but he wasn't only huge but skilled he was an ATG and Louis never fought anyone near his skill and size combined. And lewis could fight on the inside and with his size advantage it would be too much he ahd a killer uppercut. And Louis would most likely get caught at some point and then he would go too sleep I don't think he's ever been hit harder than a flush shot from Lewis would feel like if Louis hits him flush he's done. He has the power to stop lewis and had a good right hand vs jabs so he has a chance but I just don't see it Lewis was too big

You're really talking about two completely differently sized men here.

Lewis knocks him out in the first half of the fight in my opinion, Louis is just physically outmatched here, for all his skills. I don't think Joe Louis would react well to one of LL's big right hands at all.

At this level though, with Louis' skill-set.. he has been known to take out big men. Yes, Lewis is probably the biggest superheavyweight of all time, but I find it hard to not give Louis a real solid chance.

Louis, stylistically, brings a lot to the table against Lewis. Lewis for all of his worth doesn't have the best chin. Neither does Louis. I see Louis' diverse offensive arsenal coming into play though. For me, with his stalking style, he would get to Lewis' chin before Lewis would get to his. His offense would be far too accurate. Lewis has been known to be hit by right hands in his fights. I just think Louis would do him in. :think

Lewis by default. Lewis had great success in an excellent era with modern footage.

Louis fought during an undersized time for heavyweights and was on the small side himself, existing in crappy film. He could win, but I won't pick him because he's a less known quantity.

Wait, really?

There's plenty of proof Louis was a great fighter. Yes he was smaller and yes the quality isn't as good as footage of Lewis, but he's still a very known quantity.

Stop it. There isn't nearly as much evidence that he would perform with the best heavyweights ever. He could, but it's already known that Lewis did.

Well he competed with the top heavyweights of his time. Which were pretty damn good. Walcott, Baer, Schmeling, Galento, just to name a few.

Everybody who said louis is a looney looked very novice like compared to the average 70s fighter,this is from watching full rounds,joe never fought anybody even as skilled as lennox even len In his first 2 matches was way more advanced

Louis never was ever as advanced or fluid as the 2nd person len fought so it's obvious everyone who said louis is a wacko

My video foreman Louis shows exactly how Joe and his era fought. In that video, does that version of Joe look like he or anybody else would land anything on people foreman fought? , he and guys from his time look like novices compared side by side to no names Foreman fought, and in no way does anyone from that era look like they would last 1 round vs. guys in the 70s-90s,everyone who said joe wins isn't sane
