Mrs Weaver gave me Carl Froch's autobiography as a joke christmas present. (He's viewed as an Alan Partridge esque comedy character in our house).
I have finally picked it up today, and after only 4 pages there are so many pearls of wisdom I felt I had to share them.
On childhood:
"And to think, as an aimless teenager just out of school, I used to spend my time collecting the toys out of kinder eggs. I was empty then. Not any longer".
On Comedy:
"I went to the doctor and he said 'You know you have perforated your ear drum?'. I replied 'What I can't hear you'. I said that about 5 times before he realised I was winding him up."
On Pascal's Team Attempting to Intimidate The Cobra:
"My stepdad Steve and my brother Lee looked as though they were about to cry, but the chanting just made me more confident".
As you can see, it's full of the easy, relatable, wisdom we have all come to expect from The Cobra.
I intend to share more quotes from the great man, (if there is a demand), but it will be slow going. This is not a book to be rushed, it's a book to be savoured, discussed, and ruminated over.
I would therefore appreciate the input of anyone else who wants to share some of their favourite Carl Froch fables. Be they from his fights, social media, interviews, commentary, or podcast.
