Tor Hamer quit on his stool after the 3rd round against Ruiz Jr on the Pacquiao undercard (without being outclassed or majorly hurt). This is the second time he had done so in the past 12 months.

Lou DiBella was not best pleased with him and decided to release him via twitter:

By the way, Tor, you are released. WTF!!!

That is an embarrassment @TorHamer . Time to become a pilot. Sorry to the fans. That is not #DBE '

Fair I believe.

Promoter puts time and money into a fighter.the least you expect from a boxer is heart and effort.

Don't like hamer anyway after his prizefighter interview where he came across as a dick.

I'm inclined to agree with you, I would rather see someone with heart who's committed to the sport get the fights instead of him.

I watched it. He won one of the rounds, started to get hit with a few shots in the third but nothing too troubling.

He genuinely did just decide he didn't fancy it - seemingly no injury and everyone was a bit shocked. He said 'I'm done' on the stool.

Andy Ruiz Jr apologised to the commentary team and shook his head a lot.

I saw Demarcus Corley do the same thing against selcuk aydin recently and I couldn't believe it.

Hamer had done it before but Corley is a tough old bastard.

Hamer quit again?
And in style too.

I genuinely hate when people talk shit about fighters quitting, but i'll happily make a big ass exception for Tor Hamer.
Him quitting against Glazkov was very bad considering that it didn't seem like he took that bad of a beating at all, and because the fight felt pretty competitive, especially for the first 2 rounds.

In yesterday's fight i missed a portion of the first 2 rounds, but saw most of those rounds. So i can't say if he won those two rounds or not. But those two rounds were at least highly competitive, and i believe several people had him winning at least one, if not both of those rounds fairly easily. And he certainly made Ruiz Jr look very average at times.
Judging by what i saw of the fight, i'd say that he he was doing great. And it really felt like the fight was just starting to heat up at the end of the 3rd... a round which he clearly lost, and took some decent shots... but there was absolutely no indication that either guy had taken much punishment at all, and given how well he'd done in the first two, it was just a flat-out shock to see him quit at the end of the 3rd.
And as one of those overly sensitive fans who refuses to let boxing fans get away with talking shit about fighters when they quit, i have to say that Hamer is an absolute fucking quit job, and a complete embarassment to the sport! There was zero justification for that quit job, ZERO!

I know that Hamer didn't come all that far in the world of boxing, but i find it truly amazing how far he DID make it with no fucking heart what so ever, truly amazing!

I bet on Hamer to win Prziefighter a few years ago, knowing about his amateur credentials, but he hasn't got an ounce of fight in him. As soon as Ruiz started throwing shots, he didn't want any more and you could tell before he sat on his stool that something was up. He was outclassed by Ruiz, who I like the look of, but he wasn't getting a bad enough beating that he should have quit. I'd be surprised if he fights again, to be honest.

Hamer has a degree, a wealthy family and obviously isn't mentally cutout for professional boxing. He could win another Prizefighter for sure. Ruiz had put on more weight since the last fight.

He said in the post presser he wants Tyson Fury next.

Fury/Ruiz would be a good fight. I'd be interested to see how well Ruiz would cope with being the much smaller man, especially because of Fury's jab, but I wouldn't be surprised if Fury ended up trading on the inside with Ruiz and getting hit too often against the much quicker, sharper puncher.
