According to his promoter, Conor Benn will not fight again in 2022 and Eubank Jr will in Nov or Dec. He did say he still hopes to make Benn vs Eubank Jr but I'm declaring this fight dead now given his comments today.
Benn can't fight at the moment regardless of the palava Hearn keeps coming out with. Benn's most likely scenario is a lengthy suspension.

Eubank Jnr has revealed he wasn't notified of Benn's first positive test, only the second positive and that if he had known, he wouldn't have agreed to go trough with the fight.

Hearn and his efficiency with the truth exposed yet again.

More interesting is Conor Benns coach Tony Simms, essentially saying he can’t be guilty because his a nice kid and he has been on holiday with me and my family.
Okay that proves his innocence lol.
Kind of strange how the entire gym have gone on an upward trajectory. Likes of Joe Cordina who could not punch through a paper bag suddenly knocking opponents out and unconscious.

Then there is the boxing casuals take on this “Tony Simms is a stand up geezer there is no way he would know about this.” The trainer even if he is not directly involved is the first to know just by seeing the sudden transformation of fighters power, ability to recover from hard training sessions and durability and stamina in training. Not to mention the body transformation. Many of them just turn a blind eye.

Plus not many people know the colourful past of the Simms Brothers Tony And his assistant trainer and brother Peter. They are connected or have been connected with the underworld and at one time they ran the security for ministry of sound night club in London and various other venues. His brother did the same in Spain. And only way to get those you had to be connected to get the security contracts for such venues.

There is a shady past that he does not talk about. Maybe cus they left that life behind, but the Simms are by no means saints. Even if Tony gives the impression of everyone’s favourite uncle. Mind you the casuals think Peter Fury is salt of the earth. And straight A’s an arrow. He was one of the biggest gangsters in the country at one time.

I suspect the WBC in line with their reputation have accepted the brown paper envelopes and the UKAD will most likely from a legal point of view have no choice but to follow suit.

The stink is getting worse.
In boxing the court of public opinion is ruthless. This is gonna hang overhead his head.no matter what type of hustle is pulled.

This latest bravado from Benn and Hearn in the media doesn't stand up to scrutiny. Hearn is all over the place with his statements and it seems to demonstrate they know nothing more than they did at the very outset. These premature statements from the pair are nothing more than an attempt at some positive public relations :

Conor Benn breaks his silence with the first of his doping verdicts looming | Daily Mail Online
"My team has proven my innocent and the truth will soon come out..."
Sounds pretty definitive to me.

The first of the positive tests was under WBC clean boxing programme.
So they also have jurisdiction on this matter. If the WBC (with help of brown envelopes) decides he does not have a case to answer.

Then UKAD would legally have a problem banning him. Because he could challenge any ban in court citing the fact WBC have found him innocent using the same evidence so essentially they will most likely just follow the WBC's lead.

Only other option is the UKAD negotiating a back dated ban with his legal team. Stating although we accept the drug ended up in his inadvertently he is still culpable for it being in his system.

We shall have to wait and see...

I am not as sold on what they are saying. My impression is they have put their case and are waiting for a verdict.

WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman says 'We have the document which is 270 pages long. We have just received it a couple of days ago and it will take some time to complete our investigation, but we are addressing it as we speak."

So these claims from Benn and Hearn are premature and based on little more than hope.

It appears Hearn and Benn have been successful in just making Benn's 2 positive drug tests go away, like they never ever happened. Morally bakrupt the pair of them and the joke is on boxing for yet another very public, failure to be anything more than a money driven circus.

Heard Hearn's interview on Boxing Social. Rarely has a man said so much, yet said so little.

Forget about Hearn and Benn's previous claims about Benn's 'innocence.' The truth is nothing has been resolved since the positive test results.

Benn's legals have written 270 or 280 pages of hope and submitted it to the WBC and that's it, end of story. No finding has been delivered by the WBC and it might be months until they do hand down a finding.

Everything we are hearing is just white noise and Hearn driven propoganda.
